目前主要关注：1）青藏高原和喜马拉雅地区的生物地理格局和区系演化；2）上蚜类间断分布格局演化及物种分化；3）蚜虫类高级阶元系统发育关系（辐射演化的验证）及关键生物学性状的演化；4）蚜虫及其初级内共生细菌（Buchnera）系统发育关系；5）大豆蚜群体遗传学及其生物学的分子基础。
我还对一些普遍关注的问题有兴趣，比如生物多样性数据共享。我们在Trends in Ecology \u0026 Evolution发表文章提议期刊和多样性数据库采用联合数据保存政策，对于期刊和数据库是双赢策略，并将是一个在数据数量和质量上可持续的方法。该建议引起国际同行的关注和讨论。
