白逢彦，博士，研究员，国家杰出青年基金获得者，单县郭村镇人，生于1963年11月，1984年毕业于中山大学生物系，获学士，1987和1996年于中国科学院研究生院分别获理学硕士和博士学位。现任中国科学院真菌地衣系统学重点实验室副主任，中国微生物学会真菌专业委员会副主任委员，中国真菌学会常务理事、副秘书长；国际酵母菌委员会(International Commission on Yeasts)委员；欧洲微生物学会联合会主办刊物《FEMS Yeast Research》编委，《菌物学报》副主编，《微生物学报》《中华微生物学和免疫学杂志》《菌物研究》和《生物学通报》等期刊编委。参与国际酵母菌系统学研究领域权威专著和工具书《The Yeasts, a Taxonomic Study》第5版和《The Yeast Handbook: Yeast Taxonomy》的编著。
研究领域
酵母菌生物多样性、分子进化和群体遗传。在酵母菌资源调查、分类鉴定和菌种保藏的基础上，重点进行下述方面的研究：
（1) 酵母菌系统发育、物种分化与形成机制；
（2) 酵母菌应用价值评估及工业酵母菌生产性能的遗传基础与改造；
（3) 条件致病酵母菌种群分布、群体遗传、致病机理和分子流行病学。此外，白逢彦教授的研究领域还包括酵母菌分子系统学、进化生物学和酿造微生物组，特别是酿酒酵母菌群体遗传学和群体基因组学，以及工业酵母菌优良发酵和抗逆性能的分子机制与遗传改造，还有传统酿造微生物组学的研究。
承担课题
主持国家杰出青年科学基金项目“酵母菌资源与系统学”和国家自然科学基金项目“假丝酵母属的分子分类学研究”“中国掷孢酵母及相关类群的物种多样性和分子系统学研究”，“酵母菌种间和种内染色体和rDNA等基因序列的变异性和保守性分析”、“致病念珠菌病的遗传多样性和基因型分析”和“中国病原念珠菌的种群和基因型分布”，联合主持国家自然科学基金海外青年学者合作研究基金项目“中国病原酵母白色念珠菌的多基因谱系分析”；主持国家“十五”科技攻关计划项目“女性生殖道感染的相关研究”；参加国家863计划项目生物和现代农业技术领域课题“重要微生物资源的研究和保存”和中国科学院知识创新工程重要方向项目“微生物重要类群系统发育重建与分子进化研究”等。

与日本、欧洲和美国同行开展了广泛的国际合作。与荷兰皇家艺术与科学院真菌多样性研究中心(CBS-KNAW Fungal Bioversity Center)酵母菌研究组建立了长期稳定的合作研究关系。双方的合作研究项目成功获得了中国国家自然科学基金委员会重大国际合作项目和荷兰皇家艺术与科学院中国交流项目的资助，合作其间双方研究组长定期短期互访，本实验室年轻研究人员每年可在CBS工作5个月。
作为主要编辑之一，与国际酵母菌系统分类学研究领域的权威合作，共同编辑国际酵母菌研究领域的权威专著《The Yeasts》电子版 (。
通过承接企业委托研发项目和共建院士专家工作站等方式，与北京牛栏山酒厂、贵州茅台、山西汾酒厂、江苏今世缘酒厂和湖北安琪酵母公司等8家大型企业建立了合作研究关系，获得研发项目合同经费1760万元。
