第28届独立精神奖，于2013年2月23日颁发，以表彰2012年最佳独立电影。提名名单于2012年11月27日公布，仪式由安迪·萨姆伯格主持。
简介
第28届独立精神奖公布了获奖名单，之前已经横扫过“卫星奖”等独立制片奖项的《乌云背后的幸福线》不负众望，一举擒获所获5个提名中的4个！其中包括香港电影金像奖最佳电影、最佳导演、最佳女主角、最佳剧本这些“含金量”最高的奖项。男主角方面布莱德利·库珀不幸败给了《亲密治疗》的约翰-霍克斯，而帮他“破处”的海伦·亨特也脱颖而出，为《亲密治疗》拿下两个重要奖项。马修-麦康奈总算也收获了一个表演奖项，由于他在《魔力麦克》中的卖力（卖肉）演出，顺利夺下最佳男配角的头衔。以下是完整名单：
