创作背景
《Single Ladies(Put A Ring On It)》由碧昂丝在加利福尼亚的Boom Boom Room录音室录制，时间是2008年4月。在接受公告牌杂志的采访的时候，碧昂丝曾透露《Single Ladies(Put A Ring On It)》创作好了后，她就被这首歌吸引住了。她之所以选这首歌加入她的第三张录音室专辑《I Am...Sasha Fierce》中，是因为她认为这首歌的主题是每个人都像讨论的话题。碧昂丝也表示，她创作这首歌曲的目的就是想让许多女士能每次听了这首歌后都能够产生共鸣。

碧昂丝在接受公告牌杂志的采访的时候，曾透露《Single Ladies(Put A Ring On It )》的MV的灵感来源于Gwen Verdon在1969年拍摄的一个音乐视频。而且该歌曲的MV是她所以的MV以来拍摄时间最短的，所耗资金最少的。但同样在该MV的灯光、发型、服装、舞蹈编排上，也消耗了碧昂丝她们许多精力。
