是生产压敏材料的重要功能性染料

是一种发色快、色度高、油溶性好的热敏和压敏染料，广泛用于商业发票，计算机输出的终端传票、情报记录等。
目前国内所需CVL大部分依靠进口，因此，研究CVL的合成方法，对于促进我国功能性染料生产具有重要的现实意义。一般的染料是有颜色的共轭体系，它具有染着于纤维或使树脂等着色的性能，而热敏、压敏染料的共轭体系中断，本身无色，但它具有与显色剂作用而发色的性能。CVL在酸性条件下，内酯环开裂形成式大π键有色基团，发出鲜艳的高浓度的蓝紫色，在609.8nm处有最大反射光吸收。有刺激性。
